See, this is why game preservation is important.
This game is defunct.
Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down. As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen.

Dear Adil is a visual novel for kids about cultural ignorance, adapted from the Arthur episode of the same name.

Unused Ending

In the final game, the ending scene goes like this:

  • Adil: Ha ha ha! My little sister is always doing that. It's so annoying!
  • Arthur: Adil, I think we have a lot more in common than I ever imagined!

However, there is an unused version of the scene. Its audio files are bubble134alternate.mp3 and bubble135alternate.mp3 (the used ones remove "alternate" from the filename).

  • Adil: That sounds familiar! My little sister annoys me too!
  • Arthur: Maybe next time, we can talk about sisters. I have a lot to tell you!

The dialogue bubbles are the same size between the earlier and final dialogue, so it's likely they would have been positioned in the same place on-screen.

Unused Scene

There is an unused final slide before the ending one. In it, Adil asks the player "What would YOU tell me or ask me in a letter?", complete with a voice line (question_15.mp3). The slide is fully functional if the code is uncommented out.
