This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Atelier Elie GB and Atelier Marie GB are a pair of RPGs in the long-running Atelier series.

Debug Menu

Game Genie code 182-71F-5DA will start you in a fairly elaborate debug menu granting access to a map viewer, level select, sprite viewing, music testing and voice playback! Beware as some of the options menus hang the game indefinitely. You can switch to a second menu by pressing the Select button.

On the first screen, the left column says (from top to bottom): Game, Picture Viewer, Mix, Item, Sequence, Face. Selecting "Mix" sends you back to this menu, and "Item" softlocks the game.
The right column says (from top to bottom): Opening, Ending, BGM, PCM, -, -, Save-load. Selecting "Save-load" sends you back to this menu.

Hmmm...
To do:
Trace what makes "Main 1" to go execute code in SRAM, getting stopped literally by a STOP instruction at 0:AA0D in the SRAM in a new savefile

On the second screen, the left column says (from top to bottom): Main 0, Main 1.

  • "Main 0" brings you to the start of the game.
  • "Main 1" crashes the game.
  • The third unnamed option brings the menu where you send the Fairy on a adventure.
  • The fourth unnamed option brings a glitched level-up screen with a massive stat increase, with Elie exclaiming "Level Up!". Then the game crashes at an undefined opcode at 2:516A.
  • The remaining unnamed options send you back to this menu.

The right column says (from top to bottom): Sub 0, Sub 1, Sub 2.

  • "Sub 0" softlocks the game.
  • "Sub 1" attempts a link communication:
    • If there's no link communication or if the communication fails after a short while, an error message describing a connection timeout is displayed.
    • If the link connection is successful, no message appears. Pressing A resets the link connection and re-establishes it; the other Game Boy will see the status of the second GB temporarily switch from E3h to 00h.
  • "Sub 2" brings you to the menu after the title screen.
  • The remaining unnamed options softlock the game.
