| This game is defunct. Do note the game no longer works at all without modifications. This is most likely due to the game's servers being shut down (as of February 28, 2023). As a result, further official developments with the game are unlikely to happen. |
| This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |

Babylon's Fall was PlatinumGames' first entry into the bustling Games-as-a-Service market, which ultimately lasted less than a year.

Unused Models
Enemies
There is a model of Alphonse Elric from the Fullmetal Alchemist series in em0923.dat. Since Fullmetal Alchemist is a Square Enix franchise, this may be indicative of some sort of planned collaboration.
Enemies em00a0.dat, em00a1.dat, em0100.dat, and em0700.dat all seem to have abstract, alien-like designs. They wouldn't have looked too out-of-place in Elysium.
em081e.dat is an unknown character wearing a lion headdress. They are located near other story-related enemy models, such as Gallagher, so they may have been scrapped due to time constraints.
em0110.dat is a baby dinosaur or dragon.
There are enemies used for testing in emf000.dat, emf010.dat, and emfff0.dat.
Characters
plffe1.dat is an early model of Sophia. Her body and outfit are identical to the final, but her head has some differences: she's wearing a pair of gold earrings (like in her concept art), and has a smaller nose, different eye color, and thinner lashes.
plfff0.dat is the knight character shown battling Zenon in the 2018 reveal trailer. They are nowhere to be found in the final game, but their model remains in the files.
A series of featureless heads and flat circles are in plfffe.dat, likely for testing.
Weapons
Claw-like weapons were planned to be released in a later update. There are 11 of them in the wh folder, fully-modeled, as well as two placeholder equipment icons in the miscTex/item folder.
There is also a string in the game's executable referring to them that reads クローでエネミーを討伐した累計回数 ("total number of enemies defeated with claws").
Miscellaneous
Inside za1020.dat is Pascal's Village from NieR: Automata.
zzf0f0.dat and zzfa21.dat are two placeholder models of a crafting area and a crystal next to an arrow.
Unused Graphics
Babylon's Fall initially released as a PlayStation console exclusive, alongside a PC release. The launch trailer stated that it would be "not available on other consoles until September 2nd, 2022". This never came to fruition, and the game's termination was announced just 11 days after, on September 13, 2022.
An Xbox One console indicator remains in ui_core.dat. "Xbox" is also listed as a platform in the game's executable.
Images of an in-progress Chapter (referred to as "Verse" here) result screen and various menus can be found in ui_test.dat. The concept art in the second image is an earlier version of published concept art. It also includes an early game logo at the bottom.
The miscTex/package folder has various files relating to Season rewards. Two images show unreleased Season 2 items and equipment. Another two show rewards for the unannounced Season 3, including outfits based on Galenos and Zenon.
tutorial_1001.dat inside the miscTex/tutorial folder contains two placeholder images fittingly reading "temporary image 1" and "temporary image 2".
Unused Text
PhaseInfo.bxm contains a list of the internal names of in-game events (such as battles and cutscenes). Many of them are absent from the final game.
