The NES Batman: The Video Game is a side-scrolling platformer based on Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie.

This item is laying around in the first stage of the prototype, and nowhere else. It can be picked up and, as you may have guessed, awards an extra life. Only its graphics and tilemap remain in the final, which is kind of odd considering how little code it must have required.

Regional Differences

• The BGM of Stages 1 and 2 are swapped in the Japanese version.
• The boss of Stage 1 has twice the health in the Japanese version (like in the prototype).
