The Game Gear BreakThru! is a straight port of the Game Boy version, except it's in color. And wasn't released.

Level Skip

At the title screen, choose Options, then Credits. Press 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2 and if done right, the music will stop on the Special Thanks screen. Now during the game, hold Start and press 1 or 2 to move forward or back a stage, respectively.
