This page details bugs of GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64).

Throwing Knife Memory Overflow

If you enter a map with a large skybox such as Frigate, or Cradle with the All Weapons, and Infinite Ammo cheats on, and throw many Throwing Knifes out in the distance, it will cause the game to lag heavily. While all versions of Goldeneye 007 has this glitch present, the Nintendo 64 original handles this much better, with the Xbox One version lagging much sooner, even crashing after a while.

Anti-Gravity Projectiles

In Bunker if you use the All Weapons, and Infinite Ammo cheats and throw around 13 Remote Mines under both of the ceiling monitors where Boris is, all projectiles such as rockets, Remote Mines, and Throwing Knifes will stay frozen in the air. Remote Mines can still be activated like usual.

Xbox One Exclusive Bugs

General

  • The game will drop in frames every 15 or so seconds, even during sections that never lagged in the original version.
  • Audio quality is overall worse than it should be.
  • When using the Sniper Rifle and you aim down the sights, it will move the player, which does not happen at all in the original.
  • During a multiplayer match, shooting rockets at a certain angle will cause them to disappear without an explosion with the screen turning black for a frame.
  • Guard collisions are a little different, clipping through some geometry that would not be possible for them originally.

Extra Guard Spawns

Streets

One extra guard spawns in the level which is not meant to appear in the original.

Aztec

In the room where Jaws spawns in, four guards are present on each corner, when only the two on the left side are supposed to appear.

Nintendo Switch Online Exclusive Bugs

General

  • Caverns is always locked at 15fps, while the original ran at a higher framerate.
