Codename: Gordon is a neat little Half-Life 2-themed 2D sidescroller. This game released before Half-Life 2 did, and as such is mostly based off of prerelease media.

After the developer went under, the game had to be removed from Steam due to a hardcoded link inside the game, but is still available for download if you use a "hidden" URL.

Highscores

How the leaderboard now looks like.

In the game, there is an option to display a leaderboard for high scores. After Nuclearvision went under, the leaderboard is non-functional and only displays one name, with no scores. Attemping to save an highscore results in error.

Crow Chase

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Other languages versions.

In the bonus minigame "Crow Chase", text that is supposed to explain the minigame does not display as intended. Instead of the coded, intended text, it shows undefined for all of them. However, in Codename Gordon/dialogs_english.xml (or any language), on line 327, the intended text can be found:

((<!--  =======  -->
<!--  =======  -->
<!--  BONUS GAME  -->
<!--  =======  -->
<bonusgame.0>Keep the birds in the air to earn points. If the Seagull lands you lose points.</bonusgame.0>
<bonusgame.1>You have 60 Seconds.</bonusgame.1>
<bonusgame.2>SCARE THEM!</bonusgame.2>
</dialog>))

What a lovely day! Ayo what is this?!

bonusgame0 and 1 show the text for the first screenshot and 2 for the second one with the bigger text.
