Unused Sewer Area

Leftover in the game are numerous unused graphics for an also unused Sewer Area. These include mushrooms, pipes, "Sewer Tentacles", flags, torches and more. Being found in the folder for the games dungeons, it's possible this was a planned dungeon biome that was scrapped from the game.

MatingTent

Test graphic for a (at the time) scrapped feature of a Mating Tent. This is the only leftover string relating to "Mating", a feature which was eventually added in via the Sins of the Flesh content update.

COTL-MatingTent.png

HippyTent

Similar to the Mating Tent, this is another unused tent related to an unknown "Hippy". It also has an associated rug for it too.

Scarificationist_Tent

Yet another unused tent, this time associated with a "Scarificationist". This appears to have been meant for some sort of scrapped scarring mechanic in the game.

SwampHut1

An unused graphic of a hut meant to be seen in a swamp area.

Dungeon5 Grass

Seemingly early graphics of grass (cut and uncut) meant for a "Dungeon 5". The Gateway is typically referred to as the "5th dungeon" in the game, but no such grass is ever seen there.

Wheat Crop

As seen in early development gameplay, this game originally had some wheat crops that could be farmed. Although this crop isn't seen in the final game, the graphics for it remain leftover.

Key

A seemingly early graphic of a key item that doesn't appear to have went used. With the many similarities to games like the Legend of Zelda, it's likely this key would function in a similar way.

Graphics of some platform icons, these are never seen in the final game.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Test unused follower traits

Crown Icons

Leftovers from the prototype where the game had different four cult leaders - Lamb, Goat, Snake and Owl.

FishPond_Seller

A early version of either the person at the Pond by the Lighthouse, or the Keeper inside the Lighthouse, as they both share the same tattoo.

To do:
  • Test fleeces for any special abilities or stat changes
  • Update to woolhaven by removing those that were added and adding new unused fleeces

Consume Follower Ritual

An icon for "Consume Follower" ritual.

The effect of this ritual is the following: "Allow the Crown to consume a Follower in return for a Divine Inspiration."

Unused Code

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Make sure this isnt just the Secondary Attack code

PLAYER_ARROW_AMMO Seems to insinuate a scrapped bow and arrow mechanic. Its value is automatically set to 3.

PLAYER_ARROW_TOTAL_AMMO Very similar to the above value, as of now it's exact purpose is unknown. Its value is automatically set to 3.

Lighthouse_Fireoutagain and Lighthousefuel These suggest that you would have to continually add wood to the lighthouse at Pilgrims Passage. In the final game the fuel value is permanently at fifteen.

Sin Sermon A unused version of the normal sermon which can be enabled within the save data by a line named SinSermonEnabled, its set to disabled by default Another line exist named PreviousSinSermonDayIndex, probably counts up since the last preformed sin sermon, when enabled it replaces the normal sermon and uses up 3 sin per use, functions the same as a normal sermon although appears after doing the 1st sermon allowing you to do a second sermon with a cost of 3 sin
