Hmmm...
To do:
there is a music.txt with path file in a OXM demo this thing in commment.

Snap into a Slim Jim and take a ride in Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2!

Early Icons

Early level and player icons that are only present in the PlayStation 2 release.

Riders

These early icons are taken from the previous installment, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX. New riders not seen in the first game have been given Chad Kagy's icon with a crudely-drawn smiley placed on top.

Unused Sounds

Buried in the game's audio files is a file called "sfxweap.zsd", which, has sounds traced from Counter-Strike. These sounds would go on to appear in BMX XXX.

Differences Between Ports

Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

New Levels

The Xbox and Gamecube versions have two additional levels: Greenville, NC and Venice, Italy. Greenville is placed between the Commercial District and Galloon Water Park, while Venice is the new final level.

Level Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
There's almost definitely more differences like this. Xbox may generally have more graphical details.

In the Xbox's Greenville level, there are a bunch of tables and chairs near the area where you must wallride four gutters. The tables and chairs are not present in the Gamecube version, presumably for performance since the area already has a lot of physics objects.

Challenge Descriptions

Hmmm...
To do:
Was this changed in the Xbox version, as well?

One of the challenges in the Airport Garage is to "Defuse the four package bombs". In the Gamecube version, this was changed to "Find the four glowing pieces of lost luggage".

UI Changes

In the Challenges mode result screen, the PS2 version shows your rewards on the left and your scores on the right. This is reversed on Xbox and Gamecube.

The Xbox version is the only one to point out that Proquest is available for player one only.
