This is a sub-page of Deltarune/Chapter 3.

Unused Music

Board 1

Alternate theme for the first board. Includes the leitmotif of the song "Query?". The used song is "board_zelda". Strangely, this song is actually present in the official soundtrack, under the name Sandy Board.

Board 3

A track intended for a Tenna-fied version of the backstage city board. Was later retooled for this chapter's Dog Check screen. Like Sandy Board, it is actually present in the official soundtrack, under the name Big City Board.

Sneaking/Stealth

The scrapped sneaking song shared by Toby Fox in the September 2023 Undertale/Deltarune Newsletter exists in the files of the game as stealth.ogg.

Unused BURNING EYES

An alternate Shadow Mantle Enemy battle theme with instrumentation more consistent with the other Sword Route themes, as well as the theme to the final boss of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, which its filename nightmare_boss_links references.

Lightners Live

There exist early versions of "Raise Up Your Bat" found in the game's music directory. These files have "example" listed in their name, meaning these were all likely proof of concepts.

First Iteration

The first (and presumably the earliest) iteration of the song. This iteration appears to loop.

Second Iteration

The second iteration of the song. This iteration is almost complete, including the adaptive difficulty variations of the guitar solo, but it doesn't feature the second verse of the song. The chorus also adds an acoustic guitar to the mix. Note that the lone guitar audio has a BPM of 124, while all other example tracks (and the song itself) have a BPM of 115.

This appears to be both audio tracks from the second iteration layered together.

Unused Sounds

Shadow Mantle Holder

Sounds for releasing something.

Fast and slow versions of the laugh; only the regular _mid version is used.

Roaring Knight

Assortment of unused sounds for the Knight's attacks.

Sounds that are used in the Knight's falling sword attack. Unfortunately, this attack is unused, so these sounds also go unused.

Near duplicate of the Knight's roar under the name snd_knightroar, with some very slight changes to the post-processing effects, most notable towards the end of the sound. The used one is called snd_knight_roar.

Tenna

Tenna has a total of ten dialogue voice samples present in the files, but only nine are used with the tenth being skipped. This omission appears intentional: all three instances of the code that handles playing his voice will only select a voice sample from one to nine, and only tries to stop voice samples one through nine before playing the selected one so that they don't overlap.

Furthermore, one of these scripts, gml_Object_obj_couchwriter_Draw_0 (a script that handles the speech bubbles during the board minigames), does attempt to stop the tenth sound, but it can't ever play in that scenario either due to the number generator still only picking 1-9.

Tap Dancing

Three alternative versions of tap dancing exist in the files, never to be used.

Other

Incorrect buzzer sound. Might have been used in place of hurt sound in quizzes.

Sounds that might have been used when missing a note in Lightners Live section. Just like with buzzer, the hurt sound is used instead.

Guitar "pick up" sounds.

A more pitched-up version of the sound for Elnina and Lanino dropping off after teleporting with Rouxls Kaard.

Alternative sound for pushing a block.

"Leaf dodge" sound.

Unused white noise for a TV static.

TV switch sound. It was possibly supposed to be used in Tenna's fight when switching between different mini-games.
