Prototype Builds

Before there was BROK the InvestiGator, CowCat made another point-and-click game called Demetrios - The BIG Cynical Adventure which stars Bjorn who is an antique dealer from Paris who does his own investigation after he was robbed when he came home drunk one day.

This was the only game that CowCat made that was released on the PlayStation Vita, because of hardware limitations and also due to GameMaker dropping support for it for newer versions of the game engine.

This game was in development for over 17 years; it originally started development in 1999 as a Windows game until being finished in 2002, although it went unreleased because of compatibility issues on newer computers, and then it was remade on the GameMaker engine 14 years later in 2014 and then being finished in 2016. As a result, the game's story has aged quite poorly due to very offensive humor that would only be accepted in a 90s/2000s Newgrounds game.

Found in /img is a bunch of demo end screen graphics, many are from the Kickstarter demo and 2 are for the Steam demo.

There's also leftover presents screens from the demo version as well, the German screen is the same one as the English one.

Mobile Version

The mobile version has leftover demo end screens from the Nintendo Switch demo, it has a Russian translation that the Windows version doesn't have.

Bjorn

Bjorn has 3 unused portrait graphics, which are earlier versions of his neutral, bored, and cocky expressions but with different shading, slight differences in some areas, lack shadows, and are sightly zoomed in.

They were used on the official website's animated gif of Bjorn talking, which was taken from an earlier build of the game.

Console Differences

The PlayStation Vita version uses lower-quality graphics, due to hardware limitations of the console.

The PlayStation 5 and Mobile versions of the game are newer and use an updated version of GameMaker, and the graphics on those versions are much higher quality; although the mobile version uses lower-quality versions of the sprites.

Additionally, the files for the Replastered version are much more organized than the original PC version, since they are organized into separate folders.
