The Genesis Flicky is a port of the arcade game and probably the version most people are familiar with, largely due to it being included in several Genesis compilations. It was originally released through the Sega Meganet online service in Japan before getting a cartridge release elsewhere.

While the international version of the arcade game kept the character names the same as the Japanese version, Sega decided to localize some of them here.
