Harmony/Development Era 1
This is a sub-page of Harmony.
| To do: either better videos or screenshots, I don't know... |
This marks what seems to be the first development era. All the levels seem to be planned to be connected with each other, but also were much more linear by design. Save points would have served as fast travel spots as well. These levels are notable for having the largest amount of plot attached to them, giving an idea on how the game's story could have played out during this phase of development.
Verdant Forest (Deprecated)
This is the original version of Verdant Forest (before it got rebooted for the second development era). Planned to be the first level, Fon and her warden Slamuel get introduced to Thorn (who becomes your talking stick from that point forward) and find out about the corruption that is starting to plague this world. This level serves as a introduction to both Fon's and Slamuel's abilities and features both early versions of ingame cutscenes as well as placeholder sketches for cinematics.
Undergrove
This was planned to be the second level in this phase of development. In here, Fon befriends Lumie and gains a new warden with Peeper. This level makes you use both Slamuel's and Peeper's abilities to solve puzzles before fighting an unfinished placeholder boss. This level also features placeholder sketches for cinematics, but also a cardboard cutout of Lumie (using a later design than the placeholder cinematic sketches).
Snowspring Valley
This was planned to be the fourth level in this phase of development. After losing the ability to sing or summon her Wardens, Fon has to travel through a snowy area, with a blizzard heavily limiting the view. After meeting up with the game's fourth warden, Tos, the two have to find a way back to Undergrove, all while using the warden's abilities.
