Project Eden's Garden is a non-profit Danganronpa fan-game without the standard tropes in play, featuring new ultimates and a biblical motif. What's not to love?

Unused Text

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Does corresponding FTE dialogue for this also exist?

In the current build of the game, it's only possible to see up to two of Cassidy Amber's free time events, but summary text for a third event exists in the data for the report card menu.

To my surprise, she knew what "garrulous" meant. When I asked her why she left her esports team, she brought up the team's fan-base and how much it revered her Ultimate Talent. Apparently, fans and sponsors were head-over-heels for her, showering her with money and acclaim that (she thinks) should have gone to her teammates. Convinced she was stealing the spotlight from her friends, Cassidy quit and became an independent streamer.

Internal Reference Images

There are quite a few images left over in the game files that the developers used as references for how the final game will look.

Developer Easter Eggs

A photo of the game's lead programmer, Benjamin "Sweden" Jillson, is included in the files under the filename "cute_swed".

Hidden behind the α door in the scene for the Tree Room is a small figure representing the game's director, Tako0mari. The model is labeled internally as "EasterEgg".

UI Graphics

Mara has a full-body portrait, backlog sprites, and (a rather rough placeholder for) a trial nameplate graphic that are never used because she only ever appears in pre-rendered video scenes and has no dialogue.

Pixel sprites in the style of those used for the students on the map and present-list screens exist of Tozu, Tozu's original design from the 2021 announcement trailer, and Mara's original design from that same trailer.

The spaceship player sprite seen in the reference images for an early version of Argument Armament still exists in the game files, along with animation frames for it exploding (presumably to be used when the player runs out of HP).

Obscured Graphics

A glaring, shadowy figure of Tozu can be seen peeking around a corner twice in the game: once in the janitor's closet in the Prologue after it becomes inaccessible, then down the hallway from the student dorms during Chapter 1 (with the latter having only a 10% chance of appearing each time the scene is loaded). Though this sprite can only be partially seen from a distance in-game, it's fully detailed in the game files.

Unused Voice Lines

The victim of Chapter 1, Wolfgang Akire, has a full set of voice lines as if he participated in the trial. This may have been done to prevent spoilers.

Audio Transcript (unofficial)
Everything about it... the state of the corpse, the evidence left at the crime scene...
The fact that they're actively deceiving us even now...
It's unforgivable!
Whoever the killer is, enjoy these last few moments of freedom!
The truth will come to light soon enough. I'll make sure of that myself!
No, Miss Madison has a credible alibi.
You didn't pay enough attention to the crime scene.
Remember the ground near the flooded area. What did you see?
Precisely. These markings clearly indicate that the murder occurred in the boiler room.
That's alright; in the future just make sure you examine the evidence before making an accusation.
Thank you, but it's simply my duty as a lawyer to ensure that the discussion proceeds in a logical direction.
The cause of death... I'd been avoiding it up until now, but it definitely seems like the missing piece of the puzzle.
Usually, I'd be disinclined to discuss such a... seemingly trivial piece of information.
However, since we have no other leads...
Judging by the markings on his neck...
What if he was strangled with rope?
I don't know how to say this politely, but that theory doesn't make sense.
Let's ignore the knife for now and focus on the bruising.
I'm referring to the size and shape.
The killer has certainly spared no effort in hiding it; that must mean it's an important clue.
That is a possibility, but I wouldn't rule out a forgery just yet.
The killer could have simply forged his signature. Then slipped the envelope into Grace's room before the tournament.
Since Grace was one of the few people who had the contents of her motive exposed, anyone would have the necessary knowledge to write that letter.
We can't rule out the possibility his signature was simply forged.
If only we could have his testimony right now...
What is the meaning behind this sudden outburst, Damon? We're trying to have a civil discussion.
That... I hadn't actually...
While I don't appreciate the way you phrased it, yes, that is a good point.
That's right, there were all sorts of items being kept in those closets.
Since we didn't monitor the basement, the killer had every opportunity to simply enter, grab the rolling pin, and walk away.
Where do we... go from here?
No, we've already established the tournament attendees have alibis for the murder.
Please, everyone, you mustn't get discouraged. This is the only way to bring our friend to justice!
You don't mean...
E-Everyone, this is hardly necessary!
Perhaps... I've misjudged you a little, Damon.
Miss Venicia, were you or were you not in the boiler room at 8:45 AM?
Answer the question, Miss Venicia.
It pains me as a lawyer to see a defendant face this kind of pressure.
But this is a class trial, not a normal court of law; we can't wait for you to form a complete defense!
Then there is really nothing left to discuss.
And here I had thought finding the culprit would've given me some semblance of closure.
That is hardly evidence. Let's think this over.
One more piece of evidence.
I'll allow it.
Is that fine, Tozu? Would you be willing to give us more time?
Then let us discuss Diana's position one more time in light of this new speculation.
P-Pardon?
Now hold on just a minute, can we be sure that isn't just a coincidence?
That's... that's...!
When you put it like that, it does seem very feasible.
I suppose I must concede.
Who else was at the dining hall when the envelopes were distributed?
What are you getting at here?
He's... he's right!
If he can fit his fingers between the grates like he described earlier, then it should be possible to fit a cord.
That's... you can't mean...!
Impossible...
Eloise... you didn't...?
There is... one piece of evidence left.
I have no excuse for this... it's my own fault.
The truth is... I noticed it almost immediately when I first came across it, but it didn't seem relevant until now.
No, perhaps it's fair to say my heart simply didn't want to believe it.
That's right... there's a decisive piece of evidence pointing to the killer.
You know what it means, don't you, Damon?
That's correct... if that device has a hatch...
Hiding the evidence inside an innocuous-looking device... that is the main trick of this case.
With that in mind, there's only one person.
And in doing so, the culprit accidentally revealed their identity.
The person here... who killed a friend and fellow Ultimate...
The person who betrayed everyone's trust... that person is...

The generic character voice lines include three "shouting in fear" lines for Desmond Hall that are never used.

Odd Filenames

While these files are used, they possess odd file names the player would never see unless they dug through the game files.

The flashback CG at the end of Chapter 1 for when Diana vows to follow after the steps of the victim is named "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP".

One of Wenona's generic voice lines is labeled "ExtremelyJudgementalGrunt".

Several of the 3D object meshes for the Pharmacy's scenery have the phrase "JuveyIsMyDad" in their filenames, possibly as a reference to the game's Technical Director, Dick "JuveyD" Heyne.
