A demo of Rival Schools: United By Fate was included on some PlayStation demo discs, and on the Japanese version of Pocket Fighter as an added bonus, and there are some differences compared to the retail game.

In the demo, just two fighters can be chosen; Batsu and Hinata. Besides them, the rest of the characters are unselectable.
