Quake: Arcade Tournament Edition was a 1998 arcade port of id Software's landmark 1996 first-person shooter and its mission packs. This is in fact simply a Windows PC running a modified version of glquake. It also notably featured a version of the Quake II deathmatch level The Edge.
Allegedly, the game was never further developed owing to its manufacturer Lazer-Tron being bought out and problems with a contracted programmer, and as such only a handful of cabinets were ever manufactured. An image of a cabinet, which is supposedly version 1.30 revision 3, was dumped but was unable to be played for some time due to copy protection until August 2020.
Quake II itself was also slated to receive an arcade adaptation from the same developers, with a prototype being shown off at the 1998 Tokyo Game Show.
Since this is based on the PC original, much of the unused content from there is also present here.
