Hmmm...
To do:
  • Document findings from the source code archive.
  • There’s short clips of a prototype build in the “Making Of” video, list differences from that build (or builds?).

An on-rails shooter featuring Aerosmith. What more could you ask for?

Developer Messages

A bunch of colorful developer messages reside in the source code.

This is some Bogus Bill Bullshit that complicates my life! Why the FUCK?!?!?

This developer musing appears twice in GXWAVE.SM, which handles enemy waves in the game and -- to the author's credit -- appears to be rather complicated.

*THIS IS TO FIX SOMETHING THAT BLOODY MULTIMAKE SHOULD DO IN THE FIRST
*FUCKING PLACE ! INFACT IT THINKS IT DOES DO IT, ONLY ITS F*U*L*L O*F
*B*U*G*S !!!!!

This rant on line 1546 in GXBONUS.ASM, the file which handles the bonus tally for completing a stage. A function appropriately titled "KILL_THAT_FUCKING_BUG" appears later in the file.

Commented 3/10/94 cause things are not fucking working, yet.

Appears on line 1966 of GX.ASM, dated March 10, 1994.

* George is trying something here. Take this out and try restarting
* the sort if a VELADD occurs. Let's just see what the fuck happens 5/2/94.

Found on line 2587 in GXD.ASM, written on May 2, 1994, a month before the game's international release. "George" refers to George Petro, the lead designer of the game.

No fucking wonder it didn't work !

Appears above some commented-out code in GXHSTD.ASM, which handles the high score entry system.

Wimpy green palettes for the fucking Australian govt.

This comment mocking the censorship of Revolution X in Australia appears at line 4687 in GXMONDOR.ASM, which changes the enemy blood color.
