The logo was overhauled, a trademark symbol was added, and the Namcot logo was removed to make room for the updated copyright text.

Menu Screen

"MATCH", "WIN", "K.O.", and "LOSING" were corrected to "MATCHES", "WINS", "K.O.'S", and "LOSSES".

Ring Floor

Japan	US

In the Japanese version, the ring floor has a picture of an eagle with "Namcot" written below it, which was replaced with the Data East logo for the US release.

Version Differences

After the game was released on NES and Famicom, Ring King got ported to Nintendo's VS. System under the name V.S. T.K.O. Boxing.

Aside from the logo overhaul, the options were moved to the bottom and the cursor was changed from a boxing glove to a white arrow.

Training Gym/Training Session

NES	VS. System

"Training Gym" was renamed to "Training Session", little flashing arrows were added, and the sides were switched. The VS. System version also displays score at the bottom, unlike its NES counterpart.
