Soulcalibur IV is a tale of swords and souls. And boobs. And a single-player experience that was cut to kingdom come.
It also guest stars several characters from a galaxy far, far away...
Unused Voice Clips
The entire cast has unused vocal clips for the item shop, including many related to the game's shop function. Apparently at one point it was going to be more complex, possibly akin to that of Soulcalibur III. The Narrator himself lost quite a bit of dialogue.

- Continue Screen (silent menu in final):
- Demo Introduction:
- Demo Over:
- Game Over: There is no game over screen. The first is a revisit to the Soulcalibur III game over screen.
- "Gauge Max": Odd because there isn't such a gauge for this to use. This may have been used for the Soul Gauge/Critical Finish system initially. The sequel, Soulcalibur V, does use a proper gauge for super moves.
- Vs: Just a simple clip. Possibly meant to be used if the Narrator announced the fighters' names as in older games.
- Unused Match Victory Quotes:
Version Differences
At launch, each version had an exclusive Star Wars character, with the PS3 version having Darth Vader, while the Xbox 360 version had Yoda. Paid DLC was eventually released on October 23, 2008 for both versions that allowed both characters to be playable.
The game and the DLC were delisted in October 2016, resulting in both characters no longer being available without having to mod the game.
