Developer: Vicarious Visions

| To do: There’s two prototypes of this game on Hidden Palace. The details there are vague, only describing that they were made before the September 11th terrorist attacks. Add some more detail about them and create a prototype subpage. |
Spider-Man 2: Enter: Electro is a sequel to the first game, released quite late in the console's life.

The developers seemingly modified the assets from the first game as opposed to using the enhanced assets from the Dreamcast version. However, the webless texture from the first game can be found in the game files as well as "Spidey.psx".

"Mj.psx" and "Lizman.psx" are face textures of Mary Jane and Lizardman from the original game. More than likely these are leftovers.

The game files still have the studio assets from the credits of a prototype for the original game.

Revision Differences
Changes After September 11th
A few changes were made to the game to avoid any reference to the September 11th terrorist attacks, including the fight against Electro on top of the World Trade Center. Early release versions still have some references to the tragic event that later releases censor.
| To do: Add proper screenshots of the level design changes |
Level Name Censorship
| Level Names (Pre-9/11) | Level Names (After 9/11) |
|---|---|
| CRASH FLIGHT!! | WIND TUNNEL |
| DOWNWARD SPIRAL | THE CORKSCREW |
| ACES HIGH | THE GAUNTLET |
| TOP OF THE WORLD | THE BEST LAID PLANS |
The most interesting of these levels is "Top of the World" in which Spider-Man and Electro fight on top of the World Trade Center. The map itself was also changed: the towers before the edit were completely separate, but in the edited version they were joined by a bridge. The textures for the sides of the buildings were also changed to rows of windows rather than close panes.

The video that shows this Bugle headline was changed, as well as the video name itself.
Storyboards
The game contains unlockable storyboards of its cutscenes. The Twin Towers were removed entirely from these, leaving the panel containing them blank.

Regional Differences
In the Japanese release, whenever a cutscene starts or ends, the fadeout is different than the Western versions. The spider silhouette present in the fade is considerably thinner than in the Western releases.

During the credits, the Japanese version also lacks Spider-Man's comments on the game's developers.
