Developer Plaza

Actually, that text looks like, "マニュアルブラザー"... "Manual Brother." Note that there's an "Auto Brother" option right above it, though why the Auto option is romanized, and the Manual option isn't, I don't know. --Aoi 04:25, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

No, that can't be. Unless the text changed somewhere, I'm sure it was "Developer Plaza".--Megarockexe 12:36, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

The graphic certainly does say "マニュアルブラザー". That's (roughly) "MA-NYU-A-RU-BU-RA-ZA" or "Manual Brother". "Developer Plaza" would be "デベロッパープラザ" or (roughly) "DE-BE-RO-PPA-PU-RA-ZA". --Xdaniel 12:56, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

It must have been a mistranslation on my part then. Probably because I was looking for a debug option on the title screen since Star Force 3 has a debug option. However, it still raises the question as to why it's there. "Manual" and "Auto" are complete opposites. I checked the Japanese version and the option is still there.

Does the rest mean anything different from the official translations? --Megarockexe 16:04, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

PRESS START BUTTON -> ...well, yeah
はじめから -> New Game
つづきから -> Continue
オートブラザー -> Auto Brother
マニュアルブラザー -> Manual Brother
(icons here)
ベルセルク -> Berserk
シノビ -> Shinobi
ダイナソー -> Dinosaur
Localization differences mainly - Berserk, Shinobi, Dinosaur -, I believe. Well, はじめから is technically "from the beginning", but "New Game" or something similar is what you usually get in translated games instead. --Xdaniel 16:21, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

I suppose I could still salvage the article to mention the still unused option. --Megarockexe 16:40, 30 June 2011 (EDT)

Uh

In the game there are walking sprites for Pat Sprigs and mugshots for his other personality Rey. Are these used? Because I never recall seeing them.

(Also, I'm suprised the unused 'HumorWord' ability isn't listed here) --Posted by Zerker 06:03, 5 June 2012 (EDT)

Rey for sure, isn't. Most likely leftover. --Megarockexe 14:56, 6 June 2012 (EDT)

Ah, I see. Thanks for the confirmation. --Posted by Zerker 04:51, 7 June 2012 (EDT)

Possible anti-piracy?

A few months ago I was playing on an r4i card, and well, the part where you walk into Wilshire Hills, out of the elevator for the first time, Luna's supposed to speak. I tried this twice, and it'll display gibberish in an incomplete text box, and freeze the game up, music still playing. I changed out the game for a UK version, and it worked just fine. The only version I've tried that had it happen is a NA version. I've got no idea if it's actually anti-piracy, but I have a picture taken with my phone camera. Wasn't really sure if it could be uploaded directly on here itself since it's not a screencap, but... It's up on here. http://orig14.deviantart.net/a187/f/2016/226/d/6/eheh_what_by_cyberneticeden-dadyk6o.png Cybernetic Eden (talk) 02:17, 14 August 2016 (EDT)
