Any plans to upgrade the MediaWiki version?

Even Data Crystal has a much newer MW version. I wonder if The Cutting Room Floor will ever upgrade - Harommel OddSock (talk) 15:08, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

One of our extensions isn't compatible with newer versions and I haven't had time to get a replacement set up. Upgrading is definitely something I want to do because there's currently a really nasty bug with translated pages. --Xk-sig.png X (talk) 17:16, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

I think it's either the PayPal donate button extension or the more likely culprit, the Youtube extension. Also if the wiki is updated to for example version 1.44, the dark mode skin will almost fully break. Upgrading would be a lot of work, but it would be worth it. Expansion

Can we expand to cover cut content from movies and TV shows as well? It would be nice to see an article on the very dark deleted scene from Tarzan. I know we do video games here, but I would love to see the wiki branch out. --Pepsicoke01 (talk) 00:50, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

I don't have any points to suggest in regards to movies and TV shows (might be too out of scope, in my opinion), but I always wondered about other type of software (video games are software, after all). Things like computer programs, perhaps even DVD Menus could be made, they could have unused stuff. The Windows operational system has interesting hidden things, however, said article can also pose a risk. Gabrielwoj (talk) 01:32, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
There are other wikis/sites that document this kind of stuff, so we really don't need (or want) to branch out. I'd prefer we do one thing and do it well. --Rachel Mae (talk) 01:52, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
