A dodgy port of the Amiga version of the home computer classic, mainly spoiled by an absurd difficulty increase and a poor adaptation of Chris Hülsbeck's original score.

Its badness was even acknowledged in the booklet for Hülsbeck's official Turrican album from 1993:

Mega Drive fans might already know him from the failed first version made by a foreign company

In the options menu, highlight "Exit", hold Down, and press A, B, B, A, B, A, A, B, A, A, B, A, A to open a menu containing toggles for infinite mines, grenades, lines, time, power, spirals, and lives, as well as a level select.
