To do: Unused variant of the attract music? Derrick Lynch boss intro music is also unused here. Currently, MAME plays the input from attract demo during gameplay instead of allowing the player to give their own input (however, player input is accepted during stage select/continue prompt). What causes this from the game side?

Crisis Zone is a spinoff of the Time Crisis series, featuring a machine gun. It is also the first Namco arcade game to have a board serial number shown on the title screen and test menu.

Revisional Differences

Other versions	CZO4 Ver. A/B (crszone/crszonev4a)

The CZO4 Ver. A and B revisions ("crszone" and "crszonev4a" in MAME respectively) features green hit sparks when an enemy is finished off, while other versions feature orange hit sparks.

Oddities

Subtitle Mismatch

After defeating Derrick Lynch and securing the reactor, Mcgalain McGarren says "This place is dangerous!! Evacuate immediately!!" to the STF troopers. However, the subtitles for that scene reads "This control room is dangerous!! Evacuate immediately!!"
