Regional Differences

The US version received a lot of cuts when compared to the Japanese version.

• All the story, character quotes, and endings were removed.
• Hard mode and fortune telling were removed.
• In the Japanese version, each character has their own voices. In the US version, only one voice is used for everyone. The European version uses 4 voice groups (young male, old male, young female, old female) and also restores The Fool's unique voice lines.
• In Adventure mode, only the player character is on the board. In the Japanese version, there are CPU characters too.
