Hmmm...
To do:
More regional differences.

Namco Museum DS is another one of the many games in the Namco Museum series.

Developed by M2, it features emulated versions of the arcade versions of Galaxian, Pac-Man, Galaga, Xevious, Mappy, The Tower of Druaga, and Dig Dug II. It also notably includes the ability to toggle both newly-added bug fixes and various other options (and in some cases, board revisions) not normally accessible in the series via both each game's Hardcore Options menu as well as a virtual representation of each game's DIP switches with even more options.

There's also a unique version of Pac-Man Vs..

Unused Sounds

Two voice clips from Wonder Momo, found in the intro's sound bank.

NMDS PMVS Unused Clyde.gif
The graphics for the upper part of the title screen features sprites for Clyde, and while they're used (in a way), they aren't seen properly, as they always use the texture for the glowing sphere behind the logo (and the same applies for the rest of the characters shown there). It's possible that he was originally going to be the fourth ghost instead of Common, the green ghost from Pac-Mania.

NMDS Unused Wi-Fi Graphics.png
Remnants of a planned (possibly Japan-only) Wi-Fi feature can be found in the ROM. There's also sprites of a question mark and exclamation point, and a duplicate of one of Pac-Man's sprites from the menus. It is unknown what the three were supposed to be used for.

NMDS Unused Pooka Sprites.png

The intro graphics contain sprites for a Pooka being inflated, and eventually becoming twice its original size. It's possible that it was initially used as a placeholder in the Dig Dug II part of the intro sequence before Pac-Man took its place.

The Namco logo appears on the bottom screen instead of the "Licensed by Nintendo" text in the Japanese version.

Intro

US Japan/Europe

The US and International versions of the game feature a slightly different intro. In the Japanese and European versions, the Galaxian/Galaga space background periodically speeds up until the end, where it slows back down to it's original speed. The "Namco Museum DS" text also slightly ascends to mimic it's position on the actual title screen. In the US version, the background remains at a fixed speed and the text remains stationary.

Pac Man VS.

In the Japanese and European versions, the Outer Space theme (an arrangement of the main theme from Thunder Ceptor) lasts longer than in the US version, through added arrangement of two ranking themes from Gaplus.
