Regional Differences

Upon entering the museum, the receptionist greets the player. In the Japanese original, her greeting and sendoff are spoken in Japanese. In the international versions, she does not speak a language.

Before the player is free to explore, the receptionist reminds them of the fictional museum's rules: No flash photography, no smoking, and don't touch anything besides designated exhibits. The international versions remove the flash photography rule, but prohibit touching anything at all.

The area where the player accesses high score data is labeled as "DATA NOTE" in the Japanese original, but was changed to "RECORDS" for the international versions.

The library originally featured a Gogo no Kuni magazine with 14 pages from the comic, as well as a special Valentine's page featuring Namco characters exchanging gifts. This was removed from the international versions, leaving a blank spot on the bookshelf.
