| This page contains no introduction. What makes this game notable or what is it about? Are you a bad enough dude to save this article? |
| This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. |
Regional Differences
To rush the game out for overseas release, several plot points and gameplay elements were cut as these related to points in the anime which had not been dubbed in English yet.
- Itachi, Kisame, and Tsunade were completely removed from the game in both cutscenes and gameplay. This also applies to cutscenes with Gamabunta and Manda, the latter of whom had yet to appear in the English dub.
- One consequence of this is that instead of fighting Kisame as a boss twice, the player goes against Kabuto Yakushi and Gaara.
- One of Naruto's signature attacks, the Rasengan, was renamed to "Power Strike", even though the animations for it remain the same in-game.
- Gaara and Shikamaru have their costumes changed to reflect those from earlier in the series.
- In the Japanese version, characters' headshots were present while the characters were talking, but these were removed from overseas releases.
- Gaara is an antagonist here, as he has yet to reform. Kakashi appears in the final boss battle instead of Gaara.
- The player is told what happened after each mission, rather than getting to see what happened.
- The ending credits song had its vocals removed.
