  • Valencia part 2 content, as the chapter had a rushed development and many things were scrapped as a result (such as several unused models). Are the linked models still unused in the current version of the game?

Pirate101 is the sequel to Wizard101, except the key difference is this time it's about pirates. The combat was tweaked to make it more distinct from Wizard101 while adding new content to make it a more enjoyable experience. And yes, there are still Ninja Pigs.

Unused Areas

Due to Pirate101's endgame being cut short, there are a lot of unused areas that were fully modeled. The pictures you see here can all be showcased and walked around in this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88cf4CTsTDM&t=11s (via: Atmoplex)


Cadiz-VA

Cadiz is an endgame area modeled in 2010. This island would have most likely been in the Andalusian Skyway, which would not have been visited by players until Valencia Part 3, or roughly level 85-90. This area is where the Armada would manufacture their ships. It is referenced a few times throughout the main storyline, being referred to as "The center of Kane's power." It's dock model is unfinished, but other than that the model is game-ready. It can be assumed that had this area released, it would have been touched up as were many of the Valencia Part 2 islands upon their release.

Valencia City-VA

Valencia City already exists in-game in the Calabria skyway, but is currently undockable. According to head writer Sam Johnson, Valencia City would have been the yang to Florenza's yin. The former being an island mostly occupied by The Armada, and the latter being intact and occupied by the unicorn nobles of Valencia. It is theorized that Valencia City will finally see use in the upcoming 2025 Valencia chapter of the Arc 2 storyline.

Panopticon Interior-VA

The Panopticon is the interior zone of the centermost building seen in Valencia City. The only picture of it we have is from an employee's portfolio, as the model itself was never pushed to the game files. Like with Valencia City, it is assumed this area may finally see use in the upcoming 2025 Valencia chapter.

Trianon Palace-VA

Trianon Palace is an unused island similar to Valencia City, in that it can currently be seen in-game in Calabria skyway but not docked at. In the original story draft of Valencia Part 2, this would have been the final zone players encounter in the update. Players would have infiltrated the palace and engaged in combat with The Queen of the Armada. It is assumed, like with the prior two zones, that this could finally see use in the upcoming 2025 Valencia chapter. However, an interior for the palace was never made, or at least, not pushed to the game files.

Prison Dreadnaught-VA

This island was intended for use in Calabria skyway in Valencia Part 2, but unlike the other two, are not seen in-game. Many similar dreadnaughts exist, but this model is a lot more fleshed out with gates, spotlights, Armada imagery, and more. Aside from the model in the game files, a prior screenshot of this game was revealed by Swordroll in 2016 shortly before the release of Valencia Part 2.

The Chancery-VA

An unused zone originally intended to be the Diplomatic Residence in Florenza, in Valencia Part 2. For some strange reason, KingsIsle opted to reskin Pigswick Student Dormitory from Wysteria in Wizard101, and use that as this area instead.

Sunwell-VA

An unused Valencia interior, presumably intended for use in the original Valencia Part 2. Not much more is known about this area, although it is a beautiful zone that contrasts most other Valencia interiors.

Crystal Palace, East Wing-MA

Marleybone is known to hold artifacts in museums but not to this extent. In dialog, we know that there were rooms to hold artifacts and ancient art but this room is modeled and was supposed to be used. We can see a smaller version of this at the end of Aquila when Hawkules picks up the "Rosetta Stone"

Hollow Hill-MA

Another greenery room but this time more earthly and ancient looking. This room has gold and crystals lying around with some flowers and stone hinges. It is unknown where it would be located.

Darkmoor Village + Creepy Hollow

Both of these areas (top and bottom images) are unused Darkmoor islands, made early on in Pirate101 development.. On the top, there is an area named Creepy Hollow. On the bottom, is an area called Darkmoor Village, but is sometimes referred to as Carpathes Village amojng fans. This is one of the only things we know about Darkmoor in Pirate101 and the bottom island was used for a project made by Atmoplex.

PROTOTYPE UI Graphics

Some plain UI graphics can be found in _Shared-WorldData.wad\GUI\Template. They were most likely used at an earlier time in development, as all of them contain PROTOTYPE in their names.
