So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Hmmm...
To do:
  • I could only enter the menus, I couldn't even drive because it crashed on my RPCS3 because my computer isn't powerful enough.
  • There is more to find both in the game and in the files

A prototype of Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2012, under the name Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2, dated November 24, 2011, one year before the game's release.

Notes

  • Contains 4 executables.
  • If artist executable is booted, or custom globalconfig.bndl is used, you can choose from 4 maps to load to: early version of Fairhaven, Graphics test world, Gameplay test world and Seacrest from Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.
  • The game's logo was more Most Wanted 2005-esque.
  • It still uses Hot Pursuit's name, Loading bar, save data icon and trophy list. There is also a saveimage.png which is the savedata icon of HP 2010, the saveimage also exist in HP2010 but there it's encrypted while somehow still being seen as a .png, here it's not encrypted.
  • Like some later builds the unused video is used for the settings and (at least singleplayer), there are also voicelines presumably coming from the cops for the ambiance, in conjonction with the menu sounds absent from retail, to give it a darker atmosphere. In the menu (the notification centre) you can enter after selecting the maps or by using using another executable, there is a few options, single player (continue story and Most wanted Challenges, all with multiple options each), multiplayer (which need connection to autolog), most wanted mobile (which probably mean the mobile port was already an idea (which is corrobored by the fact that the font in the mobile version's speedometer has 1) HAWAII in the name and 2) that it date between this build and the previous one)) note: this button does nothing, socialise (needs autolog) and store.
  • while there is a FR in the file, having the game in french only display numbers referring to the string it should use.
  • DEBUGCONFIG.INI and SKUCONFIG.INI are different from the final, with where to send the error log for the first one and the host for autolog and top_hsm for the second:
