Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus R is the final form of the hardest to follow naming scheme Arc System Works could muster for a series.

In the files some characters have leftover early sprites from the conversion process of hand drawn line art into digital sprites.

References to Korea Stage and Soundtrack

In the Korean release of Guilty Gear XX #Reload, the game was fully dubbed in Korean, also sporting an entirely new soundtrack. A new stage was added that wasn't present in any other version, and was removed in all future XX games. The stage has no name, but is often referred to as Korea. In the files for the stage select, there is an unused nameplate and placeholder image for this stage, indicating Korea was planned to be included in at least XX Slash (when stage select was first introduced). In addition, there are references to the Korean soundtrack still left over in the sound test. The Switch port allows players to change over to the Korean OST and remains the only version of the game to have such an option.
