The March 30th, 2007 build of Hot Shots Tennis is a North American localization prototype of the game, built 10 weeks before the final US release version was built (but over a month and a half after the European version). It was released on March 20th, 2021 as part of Project Deluge, a big prototype release hosted by the folks over at Hidden Palace.

  • The title screen has a slightly smaller logo which is missing the hole in floor caused by the tennis ball.
  • The title screen uses different fonts and there is an extra piece of text saying "All Rights Reserved".

Cutscenes

  • The prototype uses the intro from the European version converted to the NTSC video format.
  • The prototype uses the credits from the Japanese version.

Save Files

  • The prototype uses its own save files which are not compatible with any of the retail versions of the game.
  • When a save file is selected, the characters still say "Everybody's Tennis" instead of "Hot Shots Tennis".

Profiles

  • Some profiles are still the same as their European English counterparts.
  • The text can spill out of the border in certain profiles.
  • Suzuki and Gloria's profiles are empty.
  • Suzuki and Gloria's alternate costumes still use their European English titles: "E.Golf Style 2" and "E.Golf Style 1" respectively.

Characters

  • Big Chief, Gloria and Big Chief still use their European English voices for their match end quotes.
