So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Contains data for a playable invisible fighter.
    • There are also quite a few internal references to a character known as "Force", implying plans for another character similar to Crow from Tekken 3.
  • On an interesting note, the VS character select screen (Quadra) was apparently a scrapped theme directly from Ridge Racer V.

The fourth entry in the Tekken series. The game offers many new changes compared to the previous titles, with the most notable change being environmental interactions.

Unplayable Characters

These following characters are not playable through normal means, in order to play as them, a cheat device is required.

Both of them use Paul's select portrait and name.

Training Dummy

Uses Kazuya's moveset.

Unused Boost Mode

An unused function exists which modifies the gameplay physics with turbo properties while displaying the text "BOOST" underneath the screen, which works during gameplay with the exception of Tekken Force mode (text is still displayed, but the code is not functional). The code works in all regions, with the only difference being that the text string "BOOST" is removed in both the US and EU versions of the game. This mode is inaccessible upon final release and was either scrapped during development or used for testing purposes.

This can be enabled using the following unencrypted codes:

Version Code
JP 003B5E8C 00000001
US 0035778C 00000001
EU 00359E8C 00000001

Unused Moves

Tekken Tag Tournament Leftovers

Jin has the Omen Stance and a couple more of his moves left-over from Tekken Tag Tournament.

  • He interestingly has a string OMEN 1, 2, 4 which is not something he gains until Tekken Tag Tournament 2, when the Omen Stance makes a comeback.
  • He also CD+4, 4 from Tekken 3 lurking in there.
Move ID
Omen Stance 532
CD+4, 4 508

Note that these move IDs are for the US version (SLUS-20328), it is unknown if other versions have the same IDs or not
