Namco Hometek was a subsidiary of Namco-America that initially published Namco's console/handheld titles for the North American market before branching off to commission its own titles, mainly those based on licensed IP.

The company was downsized by 2003 and began outsourcing commissioned titles to other developers. In 2006, as part of the Namco Bandai merger, Namco Hometek merged with Bandai America's video game division to become Namco Bandai Games America, and began solely publishing titles from their parent company from then on. The last two titles commissioned by Hometek were Snoopy vs. The Red Baron and Pac-Man World Rally, both of which were released under the Namco Bandai name.
