So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • WWE 2K23 leftovers.
  • Check if audio files for the MyRise mode from the previous installment are still there.
  • Document the 1.00 Vanilla version that is on the game's disk[3], since that version is extremely different from the final release.

WWE 2K24 is the 2024 installment of the WWE 2K series, featuring a showcase mode themed around WrestleMania's 40-year history, centered on a variety of iconic moments from the 80s to the present. Better still, unlike its technical predecessor 2K14, there's no WrestleMania 2, IV or IX!

This is the first game in the WWE 2K series to have custom signs and to have brought back the special referee match 9 years later after the seventh generation version of WWE 2K17.

It did, however, have the misfortune of releasing around the time sex trafficking scandals came to light surrounding former company co-founder, chairman and owner Vince McMahon and superstar Brock Lesnar, leading to them being largely scrubbed from the game (Lesnar can still be played as in Showcase mode, however not unlocked as a playable character from playing the mode, but Vinnie Mac is almost entirely removed with even his face blurred out in some archival clips.)

This would be the last game to have cross-gen community creations, as the next entry would end up separating the community creations through console generations. (Xbox One, PS4, and PC players would share a same server, while Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players would have a separate one)

Development Oversights

Gauntlet Matches

In Gauntlet Matches, the commentators will mostly call the superstars ladies, even if you do a male only gauntlet match.

Oddities

Chris Jericho Leftovers

Despite not being playable since WWE 2K19, Chris Jericho has a lot of text strings leftover.
