Typo

This suggestion was implemented.

There's a typo on the line "Kintaro was origially meant to have a intro in Mortal Kombat II like Goro did in Mortal Kombat?" Someone should fix that. Mario Weaboo 01:02, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
You should ask an admin. --Hiccup (talk) 11:31, 3 September 2013 (EDT)

This has been debunked on the game's talk page, so I suppose it should be removed from DYK. -- Sheeza (talk) 00:17, 12 November 2013 (EST)

Why can't users edit this?

I mean, we can edit everything else on the site. Robotortoise (talk) 00:58, 14 September 2014 (EDT)

For exactly the reason the protection reason says? "this shouldn't be publicly editable, it's too easy to break". — Vague / Rant 01:02, 14 September 2014 (EDT)
also because this template only exists as part of the wiki's front page, which you can't edit either --Devin (talk) 01:17, 14 September 2014 (EDT)
That's annoying. If people could edit it, it wouldn't always be the same DYK facts. They're getting kinda stale. Robotortoise (talk) 01:21, 14 September 2014 (EDT)
So propose new facts here on the Talk page, it's not limited to being a complaints page. — Vague / Rant 01:52, 14 September 2014 (EDT)

    * ...that College Football USA '97 contains a hidden team known as the Roms?

You can also link to the SNES version (the above links to the Genesis version) as both have identical text and features. Raymie (talk) 13:14, 3 April 2015 (EDT)

I think you could reasonably link to both. Probably reword it to:
    • ...that both the SNES and Genesis versions of College Football USA '97 contain a hidden team known as the Roms?

    Wind Waker clarification

The "Did you know......that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has many, many unused rooms?" should probaly be clarified to how many rooms. To leave room for expansion, I'd suggest saying something like "over ___ rooms." Also, it should probably link to this page instead of the main Wind Waker page. Robotortoise (talk) 22:34, 23 May 2015 (EDT)

Just to throw in my two cents, I believe that it would be more preferable to have two links for that line. Specifically, a link to the main article for the section containing the title of the game and a second link to the unused rooms for the section containing the number of rooms. --Sgv Sth (talk) 04:35, 24 May 2015 (EDT)

    Manhunt 2 Fact

I see we have a fact for Manhunt 2. Since the page is garbage at this given moment, I don't think it's a great idea to link it on the front page of the website; the sucks template even says it's embarrassing. Improving that article is also an option as well. --Chpexo-sig.pngChpexo

    Dragon ball Z: budokai 3

    did you know...

Every character in the game was going to have a "dragon universe" story mode, but many of them were scrapped, with thousands of unused voice lines left in the game files referencing them?

    Suggestion

...that a rendition of Journey to Silius' title theme was hidden in the Game Gear version of Shanghai II?

    --SuperfishMEMZ (talk) 12:18, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

There's also the Mappy bonus round jingle, so I think the fact could be changed to mention that game and Journey to Silius. Something like:

Oh, and sorry for linking to Mappy's disambig page. I don't know which page would be more appropriate to link to.
    --FlipnotypicalRodent (talk) 22:16, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
Linking to the Game Gear version is a better idea since they're on the same platform. --SuperfishMEMZ (talk) 10:52, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

    "Asian" Joanna Dark

So, the Did You Know entry about Joanna Dark's more accurate-to-her-CGI-model face in the JP version still says she's "Asian in the Japanese version". Given that that's been very much debunked, should that be edited to say something more like "Joanna Dark has a more detailed face in the Japanese version of Perfect Dark?" I feel like that would be less confusing. Rarefoil (talk) 03:15, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

    Suggestion about WipEout Pure

Actually 3 : Did you know...

    • That in WipEout Pure, an unused file with a tracklist earlier than currently known prototypes have managed to end up in the next 3 games due to the developer's tendency to reuse content?
    • That in WipEout Pure if every music tracks added via DLC from every version were regrouped in one, the Tracklist would almost triple (35 added compared to the 21 in the UMD). The racetracks themselves wouldn't be far of doubling too.
    • That WipEout Pure had a deal with Coca-cola and a music festival in the Japanese region's DLCs ?

Rare designer Gregg Mayles posts Stop 'N' Swop developer document

On December 22nd, former Rare developer Gregg Mayles posted 2 pages of a document detailing the intended Stop 'N' Swop feature within Banjo-Tooie prior to its ordered removal by Nintendo. For those that have followed the secrecy of Stop 'N' Swop, the document puts a decades-long mystery to rest, and I believe would be an interesting tidbit to add to the front page given its legacy. If approved, the document and its explanation can be found on this page, along with other annotated design work that Gregg Mayles has uploaded to his Twitter:
